Refund Policy

We at LakCloud (Pvt) Ltd (hereafter referred to as LakCloud) strive to provide the best possible web hosting and domain registration services. However, we understand that sometimes, things may not go as planned. Below is our refund policy to ensure transparency and fairness.

  1. No Refund Policy and Non-Eligible Items
  • Domain Name Purchases: All domain name purchases are final. Once a domain is registered, we cannot offer a refund under any circumstances.
  • Domain Name Renewals: Renewal of domain names is non-refundable. Once the domain renewal process is initiated, refunds will not be issued.
  • Domain Name Transfers: Transfers of domain names to or from LakCloud are non-refundable.
  • Value-Added Services & Add-ons: Additional services or add-ons such as SSL certificates (free or paid), CloudFlare integration, SEO toolkits, backup services, and premium support packages are non-refundable once activated or delivered, whether or not they were included at no extra charge in the initial purchase.
  • Consulting & Custom Services: Any consulting, custom installations, or configuration services provided by LakCloud are non-refundable once the work has commenced or been completed.2. Web Hosting Services.
  • Funds in Account Balance: Clients may add funds to their account as credits for future services, subject to the following conditions:
  • Minimum Deposit: Rs 5000.00 LKR
  • Maximum Deposit: Rs 500000.00 LKR
  • Maximum Balance: Rs 5000000.00 LKR

     

    • Please note: All funds added to the account balance are non-refundable. Clients are advised to only add the necessary amount to their account, as no refunds will be issued for any credits or balances in the account.

1.1. Third-Party Services

  • LakCloud is not responsible for issues arising from third-party products or services, including but not limited to SSL certificates, payment gateways, or external software integrated with hosting services.
  • Any issues or disputes concerning third-party services must be resolved directly with the respective service provider. Refunds will not be issued for third-party service interruptions or failures.

2.1. Eligibility for Refund

  • Refunds are only available for single-user hosting solutions purchased directly by the client. This includes individual hosting plans, but excludes reseller hosting and shared hosting services.
  • Resellers and clients using shared hosting solutions are not eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds are only available for hosting accounts purchased within the last 30 days
  • A valid reason must be provided by the client, such as unresolved technical issues or service failures directly attributable to LakCloud. If LakCloud is unable to resolve the issue or offer a suitable alternative solution within a reasonable timeframe, the client may be eligible for a refund. Requests based on dissatisfaction with pricing or general service quality not related to technical issues will not be considered valid for a refund.

2.2. Refund Request Procedure

  • To request a refund, the client must submit a support ticket via our Support Center (Link). The ticket must include a clear and valid explanation as to why they wish to cancel their hosting service.
  • The LakCloud team will review the request, attempt to resolve the issue, and notify the client of the refund status as a reply to the same ticket.

2.3. Multiple Refund Requests

  • If multiple tickets are submitted for the same refund request, all but one will be canceled.

2.4. Abuse of Refunds

  • LakCloud reserves the right to deny refund requests if there are signs of refund abuse. Abuse includes, but is not limited to, repeatedly purchasing services and requesting refunds, or attempting to exploit the refund policy for financial gain without legitimate cause. In such cases, LakCloud may suspend the client’s account or terminate services without further notice.

2.5. Chargebacks

  • In the event of a chargeback request by the client, LakCloud reserves the right to dispute the chargeback with the relevant payment provider. Any chargeback initiated without first contacting LakCloud’s support team to attempt a resolution will be considered a breach of our terms of service.
  • If a chargeback is successfully disputed in favor of LakCloud, the client will be responsible for any fees incurred by LakCloud during the dispute process. Furthermore, the client’s account may be suspended or terminated without further notice, and any active services may be immediately discontinued.
  • LakCloud encourages clients to contact customer support before initiating any chargebacks to resolve any billing issues directly.

2.6. No Refund for Downtime or Performance Issues

  • LakCloud will not issue refunds for service interruptions, slow performance, or downtime, provided that the issue is resolved within a reasonable period.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Downtime caused by scheduled maintenance will not be eligible for refunds. LakCloud will notify clients in advance of such maintenance to minimize inconvenience.
  • Service Credits: In cases of prolonged downtime or technical failures lasting more than 24 hours, LakCloud may, at its discretion, offer service credits to affected clients. These credits will not be redeemable for cash but can be applied toward future service renewals.
  1. Refund Processing
  • If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 10 working days (Not including Weekends, Bank holidays, Poya days, and other holidays) from LakCloud’s end.
  • Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method or the bank account used during the purchase.
  • Any applicable bank charges and processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • LakCloud will not be held responsible for any delays caused by third-party payment providers or banking institutions. Any further delays beyond LakCloud’s control must be addressed with the respective payment provider.
  1. Force Majeure

LakCloud will not be responsible for delays, outages, or any other service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, strikes, pandemics, power failures, or internet service provider disruptions. Refunds will not be issued for any disruptions or delays caused by such force majeure events.

By making a purchase from LakCloud, the client acknowledges and agrees to abide by the refund policy outlined on our website. It is the client’s responsibility to review the policy prior to making a purchase, as all transactions are subject to these terms.

  1. Legal and Jurisdictional Matters
  • All disputes regarding this Refund Policy will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, where LakCloud is headquartered.
  • Any legal action arising out of this Refund Policy must be brought before the courts of Sri Lanka, and the client consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
  • By purchasing LakCloud services, the client agrees to resolve any disputes through arbitration and waives the right to participate in any class action lawsuits.
